About the Performance

Two brothers. Two artists. Two lives.

In the dance and theater performance Almost entirely alike, we meet the identical twin brothers Clément and Guillaume Papachristou. With warmth, honesty, and humor, they explore their similarities and differences and show how two artists with completely different physical conditions can create magic together on stage.

The Papachristou brothers invite us to a tender and unaffected performance where they move through a story of closeness, distance, and the deep bond that unites them. Clément and Guillaume play with our preconceptions and reveal unexpected possibilities in each other. What makes us unique? What holds us together – and how fragile are our bonds? By stretching the boundaries of theater, they create a strong and open community where the audience becomes part of the performance. The brothers own every part of the story and allow us to see the world from perspectives that rarely find space on the theater stage.

Clément is a director and choreographer based in Brussels, and Guillaume is involved in performing arts projects in Marseille. Together, they work particularly with artists with different conditions – such as Guillaume, who was born with cerebral palsy (CP). In November 2024, Almost entirely alike was awarded at the Fast Forward festival in Dresden. The Papachristou brothers were praised by both jury groups for their innovative and boundary-crossing performing arts work.

Almost entirely alike is a guest performance from Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles and tours in Sweden through Riksteatern.

The performance contains French dialogue with Swedish subtitles.

“A beautiful and moving encounter through the deep bond that unites them” – La Capitale

“We also want to roll around on the floor with our siblings to Mozart and feel light and free” – Jury voice at the Fast Forward festival
