About the Performance

Kulturfrukost at UKK is a meeting place for cultural actors and those interested in culture in Uppsala – and for those interested in collaborating with the cultural sector in the city. Representatives from both public and private cultural life and from the business community meet here to make contacts, network and share insights and discuss the opportunities and challenges of culture.

In 2026, each Cultural Breakfast will have a theme, with expert guests exploring and discussing topical issues with participants.

Today’s theme: Culture on prescription?

How can culture and arts contribute to improved mental and physical health? How can healthcare, the region and the cultural sector work together?

Sara Krondahl, Strategist at Culture and Education, Region Uppsala

Sara Krondahl presents Region Uppsala’s major project “Feel good with culture and nature” where patients with stress-related problems, pain, anxiety or involuntary loneliness are offered to participate in cultural or nature activities. The first series was successfully implemented in 2025 and has been evaluated by researchers from the university.

Charlotte Falk, educator and public health scientist, chair of the Swedish Artists’ Association

Charlotte Falk presents her work on art and creativity for health and development in companies and with private clients. “A compilation of 300 articles from the EU shows that culture, self-creation and art contribute to better health.”
