About the Performance

In December, Uppsala Concert & Congress and Cirkus Cirkör invite you to an exclusive dinner show filled with breathtaking acts, warm humor, and sensational flavors. Perfect for friends, family gatherings, colleagues, or the company!

The show is specially created for UKK’s audience and is only shown on four evenings during Christmas 2025. On stage are some of Northern Europe’s top circus artists – and at the table, you enjoy a luxurious five-course menu with all the Christmas trimmings, and a few surprises.

The evening’s hosts are Peter Åberg – nationally renowned juggler and memory artist – and the Finnish acrobat duo Lotta & Stina, who with irresistible charm, instant audience contact and incredible tricks, lead us through an elegant and wintry shimmering evening. It mixes memory magic with balancing acts, physical comedy and other world-class stagecraft. Style meets wonder – but nothing is quite as it first seems. The whole room is put to use, and antics await in every corner. Who knows – maybe you’ll have a circus performer at your table?

The direction is led by two of Cirkus Cirkör’s most experienced creators: Saara Ahola, aerial acrobat, set designer, costume designer, and artistic director for Cirkör Event, and Jesper Nikolajeff, circus artist, knife thrower (!), and technical designer. Both are part of Cirkus Cirkör’s artistic council and have extensive experience in creating unique and site-specific performances on new stages.

These evenings at UKK in December offer an experience beyond the ordinary – where the Christmas table becomes a stage, the audience becomes co-players and anything can happen…

The evening’s menu is crafted by UKK’s kitchen team – classic Christmas flavors with playful elements, unexpected combinations, and a pinch of circus magic.

First Serving: Three Types of Herring on Canapé

Appetizing opening on rye bread, crispy crispbread, and culinary creativity
Matjes herring on butter-fried rye bread with potatoes, cured egg yolk, browned butter, lemon, and sour cream
Mustard herring with apple and calvados, confit potatoes with dill flavor and pickled red onion
Fried pickled herring

Second Serving: Trio of Egg, Cheese, and Pork

A taste circus where smokiness, acidity, and saltiness perform somersaults together
Egg and salmon tartare with shrimp, roe, and dill cream
Tartlet with Västerbotten cheese, mushrooms, and pickled onion
Terrine of smoked pork belly and shoulder in port wine, with sauerkraut mayonnaise and fried onion

Third Serving: Jansson in a New Stage Costume

Interlude with rich flavor and modern twist
Potato croquette with anchovies and Västerbotten cheese, served with homemade sausage, dill oil, and whipped sour cream
The first three servings are accompanied by crispbread with cheese cream.

Fourth Serving: Char and Saffron in Perfect Harmony

Perfect balancing act to golden tones
Butter-fried char with confit egg yolk, crispy pork belly, baked fennel, and velvety saffron velouté

Fifth Serving: Delicious Finale with Sweet Flavors

The evening in the arena concludes with treats for coffee

The vegetarian menu is a variant of our five-course menu, with the same careful layout and exciting Christmas flavors.
