About the Performance

It’s been 20 years since Nour El Refai toured with her first self-written show “Almost like boys”, and today she is seen as one of Sweden’s sharpest and most skilled comedians. In the fall of 2026 and spring of 2027, she will finally go on tour in Sweden again with her new show “Nour El Refai – Glows in the dark”. On February 5, 2027, Nour will bring her standup to UKK in Uppsala!

– I am whiny and sad and I have opinions about everything! Everything! Welcome to my stand-up show. It’s about suddenly being single and living with a spiny lizard and how I suffer from an unrequited love for myself,” says Nour El Refai about “Glows in the dark”.

Over the past 20 years, Nour has established herself as one of Sweden’s leading comedians. In addition to performing stand-up in clubs all over the country, she has done several extensive tours with self-written humor performances, hosted “Melodifestivalen” and “Landet lyckopiller”, participated in TV programs such as “Parlamentet” and “Masked Singer Sverige”, acted in TV series such as “Bonusfamiljen” and “Trolltider”, and directed the youth series “Skitsamma”. She has also appeared on stage in theater productions such as “Karlsson on the Roof”, “Amadeus” and “Grease”.

Nour El Refai is known for her razor-sharp humor and eye for comic absurdities. During the last tour with “Nour El Refai says jokes for about 75 minutes” she was called “one of our best comedians” (Jönköpings-Posten), “skilled estradör” (UNT) and the performance was described as “a composition, a well put together work with considerable height” (DN).
