Two Swedish world stars join the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra’s traditional and highly appreciated concert on Epiphany Eve. This year’s musical celebration is led by Stefan Klingele.

Ann Hallenberg is one of the world’s leading mezzo-sopranos. She regularly performs at the most prestigious opera houses, concert halls, and festivals.

For many years, soprano Camilla Tilling has graced the major international stages, and with her versatility and brilliant voice, she is more in demand than ever.

The German conductor Stefan Klingele has previously made a number of well-received guest appearances with the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra, including conducting the Epiphany Eve concert in 2019.

Uppsala Chamber Orchestra

With a stylistic range extending from grand symphonies to intimate chamber music works, Uppsala Chamber Orchestra has performed live music for the county’s residents for over 50 years. The orchestra, considered by many to be one of Sweden’s finest, consists of professional musicians and is known for its warm and full orchestral sound. Since 2007, their home stage has been Uppsala Concert & Congress, where they also present family concerts and welcome school classes for educational visits. In recent years, the orchestra has made acclaimed guest appearances in Estonia, at concert halls in Gothenburg, Vara and Norrköping, as well as at Artipelag on Värmdö.

Uppsala Chamber Orchestra is part of the foundation Music in Uppland, a regional music organization in Uppsala with Region Uppsala as the main sponsor.
