About the Performance
Tomas Ledin will join Peter Nordahl on the Symphonia Politropou concert tour in the fall of 2026 – following up on the success of 2022.
When Tomas Ledin, one of Sweden’s most popular artists, collaborated with conductor Peter Nordahl and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022, his well-known songs were given new life on the album ‘Symphonia’. This successful meeting later resulted in sold-out concerts and standing ovations.
Now Ledin and Nordahl are following up the success – and on October 25 they will come to Uppsala together with Västerås Sinfonietta! The program includes Peter Nordahl’s symphonic reinterpretations of Ledin’s timeless song treasure.
“Given the chaos in our world, many of these songs feel unusually urgent to perform. The conductor Peter Nordahl and I chose from my production from the 70s and onwards and quite soon we noticed that it pulled in a certain direction. To be able to sing about the affirmation of life, about the power of community and inclusiveness, about the fact that we all have a choice and about the different colors of love, in Peter’s often breathtaking and extremely evocative arrangements, has been a blessing in every way,” says Tomas Ledin.
