About the Performance
In the spring of 2026, Ole Børud and Stonemountain Orchestra will meet in a joint tour through eleven Swedish cities. With a 14-piece band on stage and one of the Nordic region’s most influential voices at the front, a concert experience awaits that moves from swing and energy to the intimate and stripped-down. Saturday, May 30, this explosive constellation will make its first appearance in Uppsala!
Combines Precision and Playfulness
When Ole Børud previously guested Stonemountain Orchestra, the response was overwhelming – three evenings that all left the audience with the feeling of having experienced something out of the ordinary. It was also where the idea of a joint tour was born.
The result is a concert full of contrasts: grand arrangements where the whole band steps forward in full force, and moments where the music is scaled down and allowed to breathe in the simple and vulnerable. An evening that puts the live experience in the center – everything happens in the moment, with the audience as a natural part of the journey.
Ole Børud has long been an obvious reference for musicians in the Nordic region. His funky West Coast sound has left its mark on an entire generation, and in the meeting with Stonemountain Orchestra – a band that combines precision and playfulness – a musical chemistry arises that is hard to resist.
About Ole Børud
Since the early 2000s, Ole Børud has established himself as one of the Nordic region’s most unique voices in soul, funk and West Coast. As a singer, guitarist and songwriter, he has created a sound that combines precision with a natural, captivating swing. His solo albums have become references for musicians far beyond Norway’s borders, and many describe him as a source of inspiration that has shaped their own musical journey.
In the autumn of 2025, Ole released his latest studio album Sleepwalking Again – a long-awaited release that further cements his position as one of Scandinavia’s most respected artists in the genre.
About Stonemountain Orchestra
Stonemountain Orchestra is a 14-piece band from Sweden that moves in the borderland between pop, soul and funk – always with curiosity and joy of playing in the center. The group started in 2018 as an experiment in quick arrangements: to interpret and reshape famous songs in new musical costumes in record time. Since then, the band has grown into a well-reputed live band with both original songs and acclaimed collaborations on the repertoire.
In March 2026, the band will release their second studio album – a record that further develops the sound that was established on the debut album Make It Work (2023) and takes the next step in the journey between pop, soul and funk.
