About the Performance
Over 40,000 Swedes saw the smash hit “Mårten Cvetkovic” and the show was bought by SVT where it has been seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers. The show also won the award for “Performance of the Year” at the Swedish Standup Gala 2024 in competition with Henrik Schyffert, Måns Möller and Petrina Solange. Now comes Mårten Andersson Cvetkovic’s long-awaited sequel – Osvensk?
The comedian Mårten Andersson has always found himself in the borderland between row house and row band, between milk and the Middle East with coffee and falafel in a blissful mess. It is in this mix that he also feels most comfortable.
Un Swedish? is a loving celebration of all people’s differences and the art of picking the raisins out of all the world’s cakes. It is also a show about family life in the suburbs, anger management, culture clashes in everyday life, toddler life after 50 and much more.
Mårten’s attitude to life is that he feels like a citizen of the world rather than fully Swedish. Of course, this also permeates his humor. No one gets away with it; neither square Swedes nor the Jordgubben preschool.
How loud can people from other cultures actually talk on the phone in public places?
Why do all Swedish children’s parties have to last exactly two hours and is there a law that princess cakes must be served?
– At a time when racism and xenophobia are on the rise, I want to celebrate our unique differences as human beings in a fun, loving way and try to break down prejudices and convey that there can never be an us and them, only us,” says Mårten Andersson Cvetkovic.
