In June, Sting is coming to Uppsala! And on April 10, you can warm up with a concert of Sting’s song treasure as you’ve never heard it before.

About the Performance
Musik i Uppland has developed a unique production in which Sting’s songs are performed by a jazz trio, brass quintet, string quintet and rock singers. Last year, the production Simply Sting was a success when they toured the county.
Singer Lars Säfsund, Trio X, the Linnaeus Quintet and a string quintet perform newly written arrangements of Sting’s masterpieces. The program gives an insight into Sting’s great career, with songs and stories from the time in The Police to the successful genre-wide solo career.
Unique arrangements
A prerequisite for adapting Sting’s song treasure to such a specific collection of musicians is new and well-written arrangements, thanks to composer Mats Hålling, who has taken on Seven Days, Fields of Gold and Roxanne. There are also some hidden gems in everything from stripped-down jazz trio versions to grand medleys.
