About the Performance
The historical musical show “This is the Moment” – a historical musical journey, which was a success at Göta Lejon in September, is coming to Uppsala Konsert & Kongress!
– This is something that neither you nor I have experienced before. I want to show how our most famous musicals are about what really happened; our history. And that there is a common thread running through them all, a thread of dreams and hope,” says Herman Lindqvist.
Audiences can follow 2000 years of world history through the lens of the great musicals. Together with well-established musical and opera singers, iconic numbers from, among others, Kristina from Pigeon Meadow, The Phantom of the Opera, Chess and Les
Misérables – all placed in their historical contexts. The show premiered at Göta Lejon in Stockholm in September and is now finally going on tour around the country.
Herman Lindqvist participates as narrator and cicerone and ties the numbers together with historical stories about the musicals, interspersed with reflections on his own life as a foreign and war correspondent.
