Lunch Concert at UKK – Entertaining, Short and Sweet

She was the queen of jazz, the actress with a twinkle in her eye and a voice that could be both silky smooth and sharp as a needle. Monica Zetterlund – one of Sweden’s greatest and most beloved artists of all time. Her music, humor, and unique expression have forever inscribed her in the Swedish soul.

In Simple, Beautiful, Tender – A Tribute to Monica Z, Frida Öhrn together with Carl Bagge pays tribute to Monica’s life, artistry, and timeless songbook. You are invited to a warm and swinging musical journey through Monica’s world – from collaborations with Hasse & Tage, Beppe Wolgers and Povel Ramel, to the magical meetings with Bill Evans that took her all the way to New York’s jazz clubs.
It will be a moment filled with humor, presence and musical brilliance, where several of Monica’s original arrangements are picked out of the archives. Arrangements written by Lasse Bagge, who for many years played with Monica – and which now get new life in the hands of his son Carl Bagge.
Simple, beautiful, tender is a loving tribute to an icon – and a reminder of how timeless Monica Zetterlund’s voice and music
still is.

The Food

For lunch, a warm soup with toast is served, prepared with carefully selected ingredients. The lunch can be collected at the bar on the 3rd floor, and can be enjoyed either before or during the performance. Of course, you are welcome to bring the food into Hall B! With fold-out tables at each seat, you can relax and enjoy both food and entertainment.
