About the Performance
Join us as we delve into the tumultuous events of the French Revolution and get to know some of its key figures, accompanied by the brass ensemble Linnékvintetten and actress Åsa Forsblad-Morris. Set to music by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Roman, and others, we meet Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and Axel von Fersen.
We witness injustice, anger, and violence at a time when the people have grown weary of the old order and are demanding liberty, equality, and fraternity. We get a view of the square where the guillotine stands, at which both the king and the queen lose their lives.
We are also struck by the realization that all this anger and suffering ultimately led to the democratic form of government we have today—one that exists not only in France but also right here at home.
The story is told through compelling text, music, and images. And it’s perfect for anyone interested in this exciting tale!
Actress: Moa Silén. Moa Silén studied at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Over the years, she has performed at several theaters in Sweden, including Teater Galeasen and the Stockholm City Theater. Since 2014, Moa has appeared in numerous productions at the Uppsala City Theater. In 2026, she will star in the plays “A Study in Human Behavior” and “Dad Is Dead.”
