About the Performance
Marie Göranzon and Krister Henriksson are two of Sweden’s biggest giants in acting and have given us a string of great acting performances in recent decades, both separately and together. Their collaboration has been experienced several times before, most recently in Dramatens “Miss Julie” in 2023.
In the spring of 2026, they finally met on stage again in the brand new play “Slutspelat – Ett komiskt sorgearbete”, written and directed by Henrik Schyffert. The performance has been received with open arms by both audiences and critics.
“Göranzon and Henriksson are true thoroughbreds” and “funny, drastic and not a little cheeky”, writes Expressen, while Svenska Dagbladet notes that “Two different giants electrify the scene”.
After 36 sold-out performances at Scalateatern in Stockholm, they are now taking the hit show on a tour of Sweden, and on September 6, “Slutspelat” comes to UKK in Uppsala!
More about the show
Three of Sweden’s most influential cultural profiles join forces in the unique theater project “Slutspelat – Ett komiskt sorgearbete”. Marie Göranzon and Krister Henriksson are two of our most experienced and oldest voices in Swedish performing arts. They have their roots deeply planted in the Dramatens salons but with twigs and branches in both film, TV and people’s hearts. In “Slutspelat – Ett komiskt sorgearbete” the two friends meet on stage in a completely new personal play by Henrik Schyffert, which is about life, theater and relationships. With humor and seriousness, the two friends dissect how their lives have actually been, on and around the stage. When is a play actually finished?
– In this performance, we talk about things and events we have never talked about before, there is something very liberating in that, says Marie Göranzon.
In the performance, we join Marie and Krister as they wait in a dressing room to promote the play “Slutspelat” on a popular TV program. The audience follows the conversation and witnesses the personal meeting between the two actors. They are also joined in the dressing room by the young production assistant Rasmus, played by Nonni Ardal, acclaimed for her commanding presence. The production assistant’s ignorant approach to the weight of the two icons sets off a series of misunderstandings and stumbling oversteps.
In the fall of 2026, Henriksson, Göranzon and Ardal will hit the road and meet the audience with the hit show “Slutspelat” in seven new cities with twelve new performance dates.
– I am a countryman. I think the country deserves the very best. It will probably never be better than this,” says Krister Henriksson.
