The building is equipped with a voice evacuation alarm in Swedish and English. There are also visual alarms in the form of strobe lights to assist guests with, for example, hearing impairments. Office areas and staff spaces are equipped with bells for evacuation.

Evacuation manager with responsibility for fire telephone, fire protection panel, fire runner, acknowledge/cancel alarms.

Evacuation leader in each hall/area with ongoing activity requires an evacuation leader.

Evacuation wardens in the Main Hall assist evacuation leaders and are responsible for each door/emergency exit.

UKK aims for all staff to be trained in CPR and conducts ongoing both basic training and refresher training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In the building there are two defibrillators, located at the reception on the entrance level and adjacent to the Main Hall.

Uppsala Concert & Congress works with Safe Security for security services, alarms and patrols. Security guards working in the building always have radio communication and can be reached through UKK’s staff.
