About the Event
La Valenciana is one of Valencia’s most beloved orchestras, with roots dating back to the 19th century, and an integral part of the city’s rich musical tradition. Now they are making their first visit to Uppsala.
At Vaksala Torg, they will join forces with the Uppsala Wind Symphony for a joint concert that promises to be something out of the ordinary. Together, they will form an orchestra of no fewer than 120 musicians. Expect powerful wind music in the best Spanish-Swedish spirit, with a repertoire ranging from classical works and Swedish marching music to pieces from the heart of the Iberian and Swedish musical traditions.
The concert is open to everyone and completely free. Bring your family, settle down in the town square, and let the music fill a late-summer afternoon.
