After last year’s sold-out success, it’s finally time again. Cinema Classics returns to Uppsala Konsert & Kongress with an all-new program celebrating the master Joe Hisaishi’s iconic compositions. Let yourself be transported to a world of dreams, adventure, and nostalgia. Led by conductor and pianist Kim Malmquist, the Cinema Classic Ensemble—a fantastic string ensemble, percussion, and piano—takes you on a journey through the most beloved melodies from Studio Ghibli’s cinematic legacy. Experience everything from the grand emotions of *Castle in the Sky* and *The Wind Rises* to the playful atmosphere of *My Neighbor Totoro* and *Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea*. This is a unique evening for both die-hard anime fans and anyone who wants to enjoy fantastic film music in its purest form.
