The present – a seminar series that takes the temperature of our time
With the seminar series Samtiden, UKK wants to reflect and take the temperature of the world we live in right now. We are in a time of rapid change, new power relations, technological leaps and global challenges – and the need to understand our present has rarely been greater.
Samtiden brings together interesting and influential profiles who, in different ways, are at the heart of the most important trends, developments and social issues of our time. Through conversations and in-depth discussions, we shed light on topics such as preparedness and security, artificial intelligence, politics and democracy, climate and sustainability – as well as the power of culture and the importance of culture-driven urban development in a changing society.
The seminar series is an arena for insight, reflection and dialog. It gives the audience the opportunity to both understand the major movements in the present and take part in concrete perspectives on how we can face the future. Contemporary is not just a series of conversations – it is a forum for jointly orienting ourselves in the times we live in.
