About the Performance
After several years performing at large outdoor venues and arenas, Laleh is returning to concert halls in the spring of 2027. The show is based on her autobiographical debut novel *I Saw How We Were Stars*, in which memories and excerpts from the book are interwoven with both new music and well-known songs. The premiere will take place at UKK in Uppsala on March 5.
On stage, Laleh is joined by musicians she has worked with for many years. The tightly knit ensemble leaves room for improvisation, interactions with the audience, and unexpected moments. The result is a freer and more intimate format, where each evening has the opportunity to take its own course—and where the audience gets closer to both the music and the stories.
“I want to interact and improvise more with the audience. I’ve been working with the musicians in my band for many years, so we know each other very well and can follow each other’s lead quite freely. I hope that, together with the audience, we can create something that feels alive and maybe a little different every night,” says Laleh.
