About the Event
During Hundens dag (Dog Day) on August 23 at Vaksala torg, there will be demonstrations in agility, obedience and working dogs, along with inspiring meetings with actors from all over Sweden.
On stage you will meet the experienced dog coach and author Fredrik Steen, known from the TV program Hundcoachen, Nyhetsmorgon in TV4 and from Sommar i P1. Fredrik leads today’s program, interviews guests and shares his knowledge and experience about dogs, dogs and carpets!
Fredrik Steen also premieres his new show “Mitt liv som hund” (My life as a dog) at UKK the same evening. A warm, funny and insightful performance about a life shaped by dogs – and what dogs can teach us about being human. Find out more and book your ticket here!
There is free admission to the Dog Day at Vaksala Square. Welcome all dogs, carpets, hussars and other dog lovers!

Exhibitors
Agility
Try out a simpler agility course near the tent after you’ve watched the pros run the course on the demonstration area.
Working Dog Club
Nosework trial session with a specially designed indoor miniature course. Information materials about SAR (search and rescue) are also available here.
Confident Dog
Test your dog’s mental agility and earn a certificate upon completion of the activity. The initiative was created by Ingrid Tapper, Fredrik Steen, and Patrik Cederlöf.
Freestyle
Watch inspiring freestyle performances and a demonstration of how dogs are trained to music, both on the performance area and by the tent.
Service Dogs
Police service dogs will be putting on a demonstration in the demonstration area, and a police dog unit vehicle will be on site in the square throughout the day.
Swedish Animal Protection Association
They are organizing the Dog Walk, which starts and ends at their tent. Information and materials about the association’s work are also available here.
