The Alley
Come learn more about the alley, a gathering place for young people where creative community can flourish.
Gränden consists of Uppsala City Mission’s youth program and the Tim Bergling Foundation’s music studio, “Studios for a Better Day.” Uppsala City Mission’s youth program provides support to young people between the ages of 13 and 19. This may include homework help, study skills, finding part-time jobs, securing work experience placements, dealing with government agencies, or finding a sense of community. We focus on creating a safe environment where young people can find a place to develop and grow without pressure or expectations of achievement. Our staff are trained social workers and social educators who can connect with each individual, listen, and build strong, trusting relationships. We also have a music studio provided by the Tim Bergling Foundation where young people can get the chance to experiment and make music in a professional setting. During our “Pop Up with Summer at UKK” event, you can learn more about our programs and get a glimpse of the studio and the music created by the young people.
